Students who are not enrolled at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel but who are following an education program that is taught in cooperation with the Vrije Universiteit Brussel can obtain a VUB NetID and email address.

Some education programs are taught at different universities over a number of years. One year the student enrolls at one university, the other year at the other university.

The students who follow such a program can obtain a VUB NetID and email address at the university, even if they are not enrolled for a specific academic year at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. All they have to do is apply for such a NetID with their faculty at the VUB.

The application form - Formulier interuniversitair akkoord - can be downloaded from the website of the faculty where the program is taught. The document can be found in the section Onderwijs - Formulieren.

Once the application form has been filled out, it has to be signed/stamped by the faculty secretariat. The VUB student card will then be sent by regular mail to the student's address. With the information on the student card, students can activate their VUB NetID and email address - or keep one if they already have one - for the remainder of the academic year.
