University of Zagreb Summerschool 2007
Venue and duration
The course will be held in the Centre for Advanced Academic Studies of the University of Zagreb in Dubrovnik, Croatia, from July 27th till August 4th 2007.
Program
The program includes lectures, seminars (case studies) and practical work on the topics of First Aid and Emergency Medicine.
Seminars and practical work will be conducted in small groups. At the end of the course there will be a written as well as a practical examination.
Upon successfully completing those, you will receive a certificate of the Summer School.
You can download the preliminary agenda from www.ess-hr.com.
For whom is the program intended ?
The program is intended primarily for medical students.
The idea is to give priority to students who have passed some form of internal medicine course and pharmacology, just because experience has showed that such students receive higher scores on the final examination, and profit more from the course.
For most European schools, that implies years 3 or 4.
However, if you show that your program is differently designed, and that you indeed have such prior knowledge, we will consider you.
Accommodation
You will be accommodated in a student dorm situated practically at the gates of the old city of Dubrovnik, also in the vicinity of several beaches and central intra-city bus station.
All classes will be held in a Centre for Advanced Academic Studies of the University of Zagreb in Dubrovnikke very close to the dorm.
Price
The price for the entire programme of the School (including the educational part as well as the accommodation, 3 meals a day, various social and sports activities and one excursion) is 350€ to 400€ (earlier applications get a better price!).
