In October 2002 a fisrt Seminar took place onThe Future of Scholarly Communication, hosted by the University Complutense of Madrid and Chaired by Prof. J.P. Devroey, Director of the Libraries of the Université Libre de Bruxelles.

This had been at the Universidad Complutense Historical Library «Marqués de Valdecilla» (C/ Noviciado 3.Madrid).
