Be-TWIN : Testing a Joint ECVET-ECTS Implementation Projects to test and develop the credit system for vocational Education and training (ECVET)
The ECTS has become one of the main pillars of the Bologna process towards a common EHEA. More recently, ECVET is being designed as a response to the specificities of Vocational Education and Training (VET). A central issue of the Be-TWEEN Project is to define the connection between the two credit systems.

Be-TWIN will offer a better relationship between HE and VET and between ECTS and ECVET for the European Education Area. Translation tools between both systems would help reaching common goals of transparency, mobility and recognition.

The submission of the Be-TWIN project was an initiative of Chambre de Commerce de Paris in the framework of LLL Programme 2007-2013 Leonardo da Vinci sub-programme. UNICA coordinates the work Package 2 (methodology) and participates in Work Package 6 (dissemination).

Seminar information
This seminar aims at supporting the objective of 3.000.000 Erasmus students by 2011 through discussions and exchange of best experiences on virtual aspects related to mobility during three stages: before, during and after (mobility). The objective is to show universities in the targeted countries (new EU members) how ICT can be used to enhance the quality of the student and the university experience of exchange, which, eventually, will help to increase numbers (influx and outflux) of Erasmus students.

The event will be of interest to university staff involved in International Relations, Erasmus Coordination, e-Learning, libraries and IT services as well as to student associations from the whole Europe. The total number of 80 participants is anticipated. It will be financed from the Socrates Complementary Measures Project, Supporting Mobility through Information and Communication Technologies - SUMIT.
