The Faculty of Letters, Translation and Communication

Situated in the heart of Europe’s capital city, The Faculty of Letters, Translation and Communication at the ULB has continued since 1834 a tradition of teaching and research that has brought international recognition.
The faculty offers 8 bachelor degrees, 16 Masters, and 1 specialised Masters. Its particularity is to train all students in the knowledge that goes with their academic orientation, but also to master communication and the understanding of cultures that give our world its wealth and complexity. A world we invite to discover further via the options for study abroad.

By opening up knowledge, whilst bringing flexibility to the innovative programmes and integrated foreign language courses for all, The Faculty of Letters, Translation and Communication trains accomplished academics, in tune with the times, and who are fully capable to analyse and resolve problems before taking action. The Faculty has three teaching departments (Translation and Interpreting; Languages and Letters; Information and Communication science) together with five research centres.
