Reaction Click to Launch Applet (Takes a Few Seconds) If you simply want to balance a chemical reaction between fuel and oxidizer, choose this option. If, however, you would also like to do a first- and/or second-law analysis, choose from the remaining two options.
Perfect Gas Click to Launch Applet (Takes a Few Seconds) Fuel, oxidizer, and products are modeled as perfect gas mixtures (ideal gas with constant specific heats) or solid/liquid (if the fuel is in solid or liquid form) . You set up the reaction first to determines the composition of the three mixtures. Next, you evaluate the states of fuel, oxidizer and products as best as possible. On the analysis panel, the three states are automatically imported. Enter the device variables and Calculate up to three unknowns. If a state variable is determined, you must manually copy it back to the appropriate state before  fully evaluating that State.
Ideal Gas Click to Launch Applet (Takes a Few Seconds) Fuel, Oxidizer, and Products are modeled as ideal gas mixtures. See notes above.
