Physique mathématique des interactions fondamentales - Graduate School
The international school "Quantum Field Theory, Gravity and Strings" is part of the Graduate School "Physics and Astrophysics" of the F.R.S.-FNRS. It offers the possibility of obtaining a Ph.D. degree in Theoretical Physics.
The program typically starts in mid-September. During the first three months, advanced courses are organized in collaboration with Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris and the University of Amsterdam.
The Ph.D. dissertation may be presented after three years training in research under the supervision of an advisor.
Besides the possibility of teaching assistant positions at the university, funding is usually provided by grants from the F.R.S.-FNRS or the FRIA. A very limited number of internal fellowships might also be available.
For admission, the equivalent of a masters in physics or mathematics is required. Details on conditions (in french) can be found here.
Candidates should apply by May to sdeprins (at) ulb (dot) ac (dot) be,
