My research is mainly oriented in continuation of my master thesis, studying the hydrothermal systems associated with volcanoes. Those systems are studied through their surface manifestation (volcanic lakes and hot springs). Presently, I work principally on two Indonesian volcanoes (Sorik Marapi and Rinjani). In the future, I plan to work on two other sites in Indonesia (Kaba and Dempo).

In addition to my research, I work as an assistant teacher. My diversified teaching (mineralogy, crystallography, hydrothermal fluids geochemistry, volcanology, scanning electron microprobe, Rietveld method and metallogeny) is, an important complement to my research work.
