Agnès' research has been focused on the study of gaseous emissions from active volcanoes, particularly the flux of carbon dioxide and Radon and geochemical study of gas and springs waters. Currently working as a Post-doc for Prof. Yuri Taran at UNAM's Institute of Geophysics, her emphasis is focused on development of remote sensing techniques for the measurement of a variety of volcanic gases. These techniques include ground-based remote sensing and geochemical studying of hudrothermal fluids.
Agnès' background includes a BS in Earth Sciences-Applied Geology, a MS in Earth Sciences. Her dissertation work in Geochemistry at Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium) was directed at CO2 degassing and fluid geochemistry at Papandayan and Kelud volcanoes, Indonesia (see Research projects). Research interests are to studying geochemistry of hydrothermal fluids and the development of field measurement methods of CO2 or Radon flux for continuous monitoring at active volcanoes.
Her personal interests include volcanic, cultural travel and sightseeing trips.
