Research :	I have completed my Ph.D. on “Ecobiology and Remote Sensing based study of Coringa Mangroves in the Godavari Delta, East coast of India”, under the aegis of EC (European Commission) and DOD (Dept. of Ocean Development, Govt. of India) funded projects (1995-2002) at the Marine Biological Laboratory, Andhra University, India. My prime research works are on mangrove ecology (qualitative/quantitative distribution of flora and fauna), remote sensing and GIS. I also adore my job (full and/or part-time) teaching the marine biological aspects (e.g. estuarine and mangrove ecology) as well as field oriented (practical) training for both Bachelor (B.Sc.) and Master (M.Sc.) students. I’m still interested to focus on the implication of mangrove flora and fauna for paleoenvironment and Quaternary sea-level investigations.
