Jean HUGÉ

Research : My work focuses on the interdisciplinary sustainability assessment of socio-ecological interactions in complex systems. I currently focus on the effects of the dynamics of plural biodiversity discourses on conservation decisions and on conservation effectiveness. This includes fieldwork in South-East Asian and African mangrove socio-ecosystems. I am funded by the Belgian National Research Fund (FRS-FNRS), and I am a Fellow of the KLIMOS Research Platform on Climate Change & Development.
