Le Centre de droit privé tient semestriellement une chronique de législation dans les différents domaines du droit privé, publiée au Journal des Tribunaux. Unité de Droit familial [Unit of Family Right]
L'Unité de Droit familial est à la base du vaste projet législatif en cours d'élaboration, tendant à la création en Belgique d'un Tribunal de la famille. Elle participe également à la mise sur pied d'une loi réparatrice de la réforme du divorce intervenue en 2007. Sur le plan international, il mène un projet de longue haleine avec l'Université de Montréal, traitant du droit familial comparé. [The Unit of family Law is at the base of the legislative vast project under development, tending to creation in Belgium of a Court of the family. She also takes part in the setting-up of a repairing law of the reform of the divorce intervened in 2007. On the international plan, it carries out a long-term project with the University of Montreal, treating compared family law.]
Unité de Droit Judiciaire [Unit of Legal Right]
Les différents thèmes de recherche de l'Unité de droit judiciaire sont : les réformes législatives de 2007 et leur incidence sur l'efficacité et la qualité de la justice ; le nouveau système de répétibilité des honoraires d'avocat et l'accès à la justice ; le contentieux des autorités de régulation de la concurrence ; les aspects procéduraux de l'affaire « Fortis » ; le formalisme proportionné et le droit d'accès à un juge de cassation ; la tierce opposition, voie de recours extraordinaire, ' [The various research topics of the Unit of legal law are: legislative reforms of 2007 and their incidence on the effectiveness and the quality of justice; the new system of repetibility of the lawyer fees and the access to justice; dispute of the regulatory agencies of competition; procedural aspects of the business 'Fortis'; proportioned formalism and right of access with a judge of cassation; opposition by third party, extraordinary ground for appeal,'...]
Unité de droit économique [Unit of Economic Right]
Les principaux thèmes de recherche de l'Unité de droit économique concernent le droit de la propriété intellectuelle et de la concurrence (spécialement l'interaction entre ces deux domaines), le droit des pratiques du commerce et de la consommation (en ce compris la question de l'introduction d'une forme d'action de groupe, ou class action, en droit belge), le droit bancaire et financier, le droit de l'insolvabilité ainsi que le droit des contrats. [The main themes of research of the Unit of economic law relate to the law of the intellectual property and competition (especially the interaction between these two fields), the law of the practices of the trade and consumption (including the question of the introduction of a form of action of group, or class action, in Belgian right), the banking and financial law, the law of insolvency as well as the contract law.]
Unité de droit international privé [Unit of International Private Law]
Les principaux thèmes de recherche de l'Unité de droit international privé concernent : le processus d'intégration européenne du droit international privé, le contentieux transfrontière européen, les aspects de droit international privé de la propriété intellectuelle et des nouvelles technologies, les interactions entre le droit de la concurrence, la régulation des marchés et le droit international privé. [The main themes of research of the Unit of private international law concern: the process of European integration of the private international law, European transborder dispute, aspects of private international law of the intellectual property and new technologies, interactions between the right of the competition, regulation of the markets and private international law.]
