Projet MINT : maintenance intelligente [MINT project : intelligent maintenance]
Le projet MINT consiste à concevoir et appliquer des méthodes de maintenance intelligente destinées au domaine de l'industrie sidérurgique. L'intérêt pour ces méthodes se justifie par la nécessité de limiter le nombre et la durée des arrêts de lignes (généralement très coûteux) mais aussi par la volonté d'obtenir un produit final de bonne qualité. [The MINT project consists in designing and applying intelligent maintenance methods for the steel industry. The interest for these methods is justified by the need to limit the number and the duration of line shutdowns (which are generally very expensive) but also by the wish to obtain a good quality product.]

PAI-DYSCO
Le SAAS, regroupé avec le service 3BIO, forme l'équipe ULB du pôle d'attraction interuniversitaire DYSCO (Dynamical systems, control and optimization). Il s'agit d'un réseau d'excellence qui regroupe un ensemble de huit équipes de recherche actives dans le domaine de la théorie des systèmes, de l'automatique et de l'optimisation en Belgique. L'équipe ULB contribue à quatre de cinq « workpackages » du PAI DYSCO par ses travaux dans les domaines suivants : -détection de défauts et diagnostic -régulation non linéaire -modélisation, optimisation et régulation des procédés (bio) techniques -modélisation et commande des systèmes biomédicaux.
