Il s'agit de retracer l'histoire des relations belgo-canadiennes du XIXe siècle à nos jours. L'analyse porte à la fois sur l'immigration belge au Canada, sur l'évolution de l'image de la Belgique au Canada, sur la perception du Canada dans la presse belge contemporaine et sur le développement des ''études canadiennes'' en Belgique. [The objective of this project is to retrace the relations between Belgium and Canada from the 19th century to the present. Our focus is on Belgian immigration to Canada, the evolution of the image of Belgium in Canada, the perception of Canada in the Belgian media and the development of Canadian Studies in Belgium.]
