Doctoral research training

Your research work and writing up your thesis carry a minimum of 180 ECTS credits. You must also complete a course of research training during your doctorate. The doctoral research training program is a flexible program, suited to individual researchers' needs. Its content is proposed by the researcher's support committee to the faculty examination board for endorsement.

Doctoral research training must consist of a minimum of 60 ECTS credits. It can take various forms:

• participating in the activities of the Doctoral Schools,

• attending relevant seminars and classes,

• participating and submitting papers to conferences and congresses, publishing papers teaching activities,

• writing progress reports on your research,

• taking part in summer schools; etc.

On completion of your research training a Certificate of Research Training is awarded to the PhD candidate.
