By offering all students the course options that best fit their aspirations and taking account of both their individual potential and study plans regardless of their initial academic choices.

Guaranteeing quality high level education

By putting in place measures to rank highly in the future system of accreditation of higher education institutions in Europe and in international cooperation agreements outside Europe.

Sharing educational resources

By making access to the pedagogical resources of all the respective partners available to students, lecturers and researchers with special emphasis being placed on developing and increasing access to the new information and communication technologies.

Guaranteeing and strengthening complementarity

in serving the student body
By improving the reception and the quality of life of Belgian and foreign students. By promoting the mobility of students both among the partner institutions and within the framework international exchange programmes.

in the academic area
By harmonising curriculums in reorientation courses so as to create realistic conditions for moving from one level to another.

By creating new curriculums across the partner institutions comprising both common trunk courses and specific modules.

in the research area
By intensifying scientific dialogue and reinforcing existing synergies between the University and the "Hautes Ecoles" in the field of research by proposing new research projects which bring together both the fundamental and applied aspects of research and capitalise on the complementarity of the scientific competencies and specific laboratory infrastructure existing at each institution.
