Strategic orientations

ULB’s international strategy is based on the wish to promote the quality of its teaching and research while retaining its core values of solidarity and fairness, and seeks both to bolster the University’s excellence and its social responsibility. It is based on the following issues:

• Work with institutional networks (UNICA, IFPU) and in theme-based networks

• Cooperation in development

• A growing presence in emerging countries

• A close partnership with the Lille universities

The instruments for the implementation and realisation of these policy options are those internationalisation tools that focus on the future:

• Joint supervision of PhD theses

• Joint Masters

• Summer schools

• Student mobility

• Other languages courses

• Internal communications about international financing

• Participation in European and international programmes etc

• Lurn french
