Gręger holds a MPhil in political science from the University of
Oslo, which includes studies at the University of Caen, France. Her
research fields are Norwegian and European security and defence
policy, the role of regional security organisations in peace
operations (NATO, EU/WEU, OSCE), as well as more conceptual analyses
of security and military power. Gręger has been research fellow at
NUPI since May 1998. When Norway held the chairmanship of the OSCE
in 1998-99 Gręger was the co-ordinator of a group of researchers
acting as advisers to the MFA.
She is currently working on her doctoral dissertation, with
working title: "From a national to an international Norwegian
Defence: The use of military power as security policy
instrument".
Her professional career includes three years as researcher at the
International Peace Research Institute, Oslo (PRIO) and she has also
worked as personal adviser to former Minister of Industry and
Energy, Mr. Jens Stoltenberg.
