Ulla Jasper joined the ESDP project in Bradford as a pre-doctoral
researcher in January 2004. She is 26 years old and a German citizen.
Before joining the network she had worked for the Geneva-based Biological
Weapons Prevention Project (BWPP) and the German Council on Foreign
Relations (DGAP), Berlin.
In December 2001 she graduated with distinction from the University
of Bradford with a Masters degree in International Politics and
Security Studies.
Ulla is the author of a study on recent developments in the US-American
military and security strategy (entitled "Europa, die USA und
die NATO - Die Militarisierung der amerikanischen Aussenpolitik"),
published by the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation in December 2002. She
also published several analyses for the DGAP's online project Weltpolitik.Net.
Ulla is now working as a Journalist for the German daily newspaper
"Die Tageszeitung" (TAZ), while continuing to conduct
research on the European Union's role in arms control / disarmament
of weapons of mass destruction.
