Exploratory work is underway in view of introducing peroxidase genes in plants as a mean to increase resistance to pathogens. The laboratory also participates in a series of joint projects involving academic or industrial partners, in particular Civil Engineers (ULB), the F.U.N.D.P. (Namur), ULg (Liège) and Zentech company. Among others, these programs deal with the design of new cell reactors, the design of original antigenic molecules for vaccination and the discovery of new antiviral molecules.
