International Welcome Desk

The International Welcome Desk welcomes foreign researchers and visiting professors, Erasmus Mundus Students, foreign postdocs and PhD students and members of staff recruited abroad.

Its mission is to inform them about and assist with the administrative steps to be undertaken before arrival at ULB and the various formalities to be completed once in Belgium (eg. visa application, town hall registration, bank account, mutuality, school and crèche places, information about rental contracts and the healthcare system etc…).

The International Welcome Desk regularly intercedes with Consulates, the Interior Ministry, town halls and local police in order to facilitate and speed up administrative procedures.

Open from 9h to 17h, Monday to Friday.
