Obtaining an attestation of correspondence between your "old" ULB degree (diplôme de candidat or de licencié) and a Bachelor or Master degree

The "Bologna" decree (31/03/2004) provides for correspondence being established between "old" and "new" academic qualifications.

  • • A "licencié" degree corresponds to a Master degree

  • • A "candidat" degree corresponds to a Bachelor degree, provided that at least one 2nd cycle year (minimum "1re licence") was successfully completed.

Only certain 3rd cycle qualifications issued before this decree came into force are comparable with the qualifications foreseen in the new decree.

DansIn all events, if you would like your degree (awarded by the ULB before the "Bologna" decree came into force) transcribed, here is what to do:

Please send both a letter (by post) and an e-mail stating the following:

  • • The reference ("Re:"): "Request for an attestation of correspondence of my 'old' degree"..

  • • Clearly indicate:
    - your name
    - your forename
    - your date of birth
    - your student registration number
    - your mobile tel. number
    - your postal address

Attach to the letter:

  • A signed and dated photocopy of your ID card;

  • 3 first-class stamps or a €5 note (no coins)

Warning : The document takes time to process. Moreover, no translation(s) will be provided.
