Research Contact Day of the
Computational Intelligence & Learning Doctoral School
The ULB Machine Learning Group and the UCL Machine Learning Group are jointly organizing the “First Research Contact Day of the Computational Intelligence and Learning (CIL) doctoral school” on Monday, September the 25th at ULB, Brussels. The venue
for the event is Salle Baugniet, Ground Floor, Building S,
Campus du Solbosch, Avenue Jeanne 44, Brussels 1050. This event is expected to bring
together the members of the teams involved in the Computational
Intelligence and Learning graduate school. It is a follow-up of the
FNRS contact day
that was organized last year in Louvain-la-Neuve.
In order to improve the mutual awareness of the participants and to foster future initiatives, a series of oral and poster presentations of Ph.D. students of the CIL research teams will take place during the day. Invitation for the poster/oral presentation has been received with a commendable response; the 01/September/2006 deadline for the submission of abstracts has now expired. Presentations:The process of review of submitted abstracts has now concluded. The following links should reveal the programmes for Oral Presentation & Poster Presentation. Duration of an oral presentation is strictly limited to no more than 20 minutes. Posters from researchers selected for oral presentations will be appreciated. All posters must adhere to a portrait format on A0 paper, panels will be provided at the venue. Posters will be displayed at the venue throughout the event. It is necessary that all posters and presentation slides be submitted electronically before the event to abalexan AT ulb.ac.be to facilitate online reference for the benefit of participants in the doctoral school. now open. For the registration done free of cost, please provide
details of the participants from your research team by email to
abalexan ATulb.ac.be. The
organizers would appreciate if participants could kindly
register for this event before 1700 hours on Friday,
15/September/2006 . We encourage early registrations, since any
registrations after this date would make the organization of the
Research Contact Day more difficult.
Parking : The participants who wish to station their cars in the ULB parking areas must display this authorisation on their windscreens. Archives: The submitted abstracts, posters and the presented slides of the contact day are available . Photos: The photographs documenting the event are now available. All
comments and suggestions about the organization of the day are
welcome. The
