The Biopark is able to offer you a range of technological infrastructures, mainly in the imaging and immunology fields. These include electronic or fluorescent microscopes, a flow cytometre, MRI, clinical testing, immunomonitoring...

From the lab to the market

The Technology Transfer Office (TTO) and the i-Tech Incubator help scientists test future patents and give shape to their business ventures. Since 1999, they have helped create over 10 new companies, most of which are still present in the Biopark today.

Great appeal to business

Over 20 companies in the biomedical, engineering and services sectors are currently operating from the Biopark. The companies benefit from having scientists and trainers close at hand in an environment that fosters partnerships. The i-Tech Incubator's building also provides premises to new companies, helping them to start business.

Lifelong training

The Biopark organises training courses for jobseekers in an effort to meet the sector’s need for a qualified workforce. 80% of course participants find work within one year of passing the course. Courses for scientists and professors are also available.

Biopark Charleroi Brussels South

Biopark Charleroi Brussels South incorporates academic research institutes, technological platforms, businesses, bodies for the promotion of research, and a biotechnology training centre. Every day, some 600 people from 20 different countries come to work on the site located within the Aérpole de Gosselies, not far from Bruxelles-Sud-Charleroi (BSCA) airport.

The Biopark encompasses the full innovation chain, from academic research to the production of biotech products. This mix of research and business on-site cements the cooperation between academia and industry, forming a cluster of excellence in biotechnology.

The Biopark’s comprehensive and dynamic approach make it a significant contributor to the socio-economic development of Charleroi and indeed Wallonia, as well as furthering its reputation abroad.
