The Institute of Molecular Biology and Medicine (IBMM)

Present at Gosselies Aéropole since 1999, the Institute of Molecular Biology and Medicine is dedicated to teaching and academic research. A ULB centre for excellence, the IBMM brings together over 200 scientists - biologists, chemists, physicists, IT experts, agricultural experts, etc. - who research, analyse, and aim to understand the fundamental molecular mechanisms that cause AIDS, diabetes, cancer, or sleeping sickness. The Institute's work receives international recognition, is regularly published in reputable scientific journals, and wins prestigious awards in the field of science (Professors Jacques Urbain and Etienne Pays were awarded the Francqui Prize).
