Immigration and Asylum:

In the United-Kingdom there is no organic law on immigration and asylum .The Immigration Act 1971 is the main legislation regulating entry into and stay in the UK. The 1971 Act has been supplemented by subsequent legislation, namely the "Asylum and Immigration Appeals Act 1993", the "Asylum and Immigration Appeals Act 1996" and the "Immigration and Asylum Act 1999" .

The Implementation rules are made under the Immigration Act 1971. In section 3 there is a power to make rules.
