WUC Beachvolleyball Program Available

The preparations of the inaugural World University Beach Volleyball Championship are well on track. The first edition of this WUC will take place on sunny Guadeloupe, a French DOM-TOM (overseas department/territory). The town of Le Moule will host the tournament from June 19th to 23rd, 2002. Le Moule is the sports hot spot of the Caribbean Island and has hosted regional, national and international surfing and kayak competitions in the past.

Venue
The tournament will take place on the beach ‘l’Autre-Bord’. With its soft golden sand; its perfect ventilation for beach volley and its daily hours of sunshine, this beach offers the best weather conditions possible. The official site comprises 9 courts (1 central and 8 practice courts), 1 stand for 350 spectators, 1 stand for 50 officials, showers and a sprinkler system for the courts (if necessary), parking space, electricity, phone & fax.

Qualification
30 places have been attributed. The spots that are still open will be given away on a first come, first serve basis after reception of the team's deposit.
