.Research
on protozooplankton ecology addresses its role as regulator of
phytoplankton and bacterioplankton growth and as a link between
the microbial network and the linear food web. Ingestion and feeding
behaviour are investigated by the use of radio-tracer and fluorescently-labelled
preys techniques.
