Overall knowledge of the "state of the art" in the field of North Sea ecosystem modelling. Author of a review on existing 3D ecosystem models for the North Sea and their validation. At the origin of a significant work on comparison of results from 3D ecosystem models of the North Sea. Work on the dissemination of "good practices" in model validation (use of objective methods).

Head of the Reactive Transport Modeling Group at the Department of Earth Sciences - Geochemistry, Faculty of Geosciences, Utrecht University, Utrecht (The Netherlands). Expert in estuary modeling. Collaboration already set up during AMORE II.
