INFORMATION
The 4th European Meeting of the IUSSI will take place at Le Floréal. The Floréal is located 800m from the cosy city centre of La Roche. It is hidden in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes, on the banks of the River Ourthe. The place offers excellent facilities to welcome meetings and for accommodation. This seminar centre comprises conference rooms with air-conditioning and up-to-date technical infrastructures.
Accommodation will be available on place, at the Hotel Le Floréal. The hotel provides rooms, studios and apartments all equipped with bathrooms (towels are provided), phone, TV, and internet connection. It is also a nice place for gourmets, with a restaurant serving the best local specialties. Last but not least, the Floréal provides several facilities for relaxation, including a bowling, a game of "jeu de boules", a miniature golf, two tennis courts, a mini-foot synthetic field and an outdoor swimming pool (towels are provided).
The Organizing Committee decided to highlight emerging themes in Social Insect Biology by inviting Stuart West (Edinburgh University), James T. Costa (Western Carolina University), Laurent Keller (Université de Lausanne) and Tom Wenseleers (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven) to present plenary lectures. The meeting will be organized in symposia covering the major topics in the field.
