Getting Started with MatArray

Introduction

The MatArray toolbox provides a set of command-line tools for the treatment of microarray data in the Matlab environment.

It should fulfill most obvious needs for most people.

Newer, updated, completed, better versions should be made available at: http://www.ulb.ac.be/medecine/iribhm/microarray/toolbox/.

Installation

To install the package, unzip to a directory (let say the matarray directory) and add that directory to the path. If you have a win32 system and have downloaded the pre-compiled version, that should be it.

If you have a non-win32 system or feel like compiling the mex-files yourself, a script has been made to simplify your life. Make the matarray directory you current directory (using cd, that is), then type :

cd cfiles;
MatArrayCompile;
cd ..;

And everything should go just fine. If it does not, then your compiler is probably badly installed or cannot compile C++ files. If only the leaf ordering routine does not work, take a look in the MatArrayCompile file and modify it as stated.
